The idea of Unimon...
how it all began...
The idea for powder-coated carabiner chains didn't come as an impulse, rather gradually. Since we have always been bored with silver chains at the dog park, it was quickly decided that they needed to be colored.
Once we became familiar with the different methods, we decided it had to be powder coating. The big advantage is simply the durability, the compatibility with skin and fur and the shine of the color.
The second, big criterion for us was that the chains were compliant with testing. In other words: They should be approved for the companion dog tests according to FCI/ÖKV/VDH etc.
The examination regulations require long-link chains without a strangling effect.
So we quickly came up with the idea of installing a carabiner with which we could adjust the chain to any size.
The first material was quickly purchased and the first chains were coated.
After an extensive "Rambo test phase" with our two Staffordshire Terriers, we were able to confirm: The breaking load according to the manufacturer's specifications can withstand this - so we can get started.
We had expected that some people would definitely like our necklaces, but we didn't expect that the response would be so great.
The first necklaces, which were packed with shaky hands, were so well received that it wasn't just one or two orders.
We are simply incredibly grateful that so much trust is placed in us and that we have now been able to deliver over 1000 chains.
Due to the high level of popularity, we have registered a design protection for our carabiner chains with the Austrian Patent Office.
The biggest thanks simply go to our community - to our customers who always diligently recommend and support our chains.
We are constantly working on new ideas and products. We are the only ones in Europe to offer “gradient chains” and rainbow chains.
Our chains are made according to customer requirements and any color gradient is possible.
Each necklace is unique and is manufactured by us in our company.
